There’s a good bit of coverage on the gates going up on the South Street Bridge this January 22nd and the reconstruction to follow. Check out the crew over at Phillyskyline’s synopsis of all things SSB going down.
I serendipitously came across these photos of the Bridge’s construction in 1923. Special thanks to the Pennsylvania State Archives for these.
